  Greer County church met in Council for the purpose of effecting a church organization.  Elders  A. L. Boyd and J. R. Pitzer presided,  Bro. A. G. Fillmore was elected presiding elder. A choice for a minister and deacon was held; the minister is Bro. J. O. Hartman; in the choice of deacon two were elected, N. H. Howland and P. S. Hartman, Jr. The writer was advanced to the second degree of the ministry.  This church takes the place of the Kiowa church, and has granted ten letters. P. S. Hartman, Sr., is the correspondent for the Bright Star church.  On the evening of March 9 we surrounded the Lord’s table; twelve members communed.  Bro. John R. Pitzer officiated.  We had good attention and a good attendance. – P. S. Hartman, R. D. 2,  Reed, Okla,, March 11.
