From the Ramona Church, Kansas.

The member s of the Northern part of the Peabody church agreed to hold a council-meeting at this place on Oct 18. It was also decided to hold a love-feast on the same day.

The brethren, being desirous of forming a new organization, called Eld. S. Z. Sharp, and others, to assist.  It was decided that the new organization be known as the Ramona church.

Eld. J. B. Shirk, desiring some assistance in the ministry, the church decided to elect a minister and deacon.  Bro. J. D. Meyers was elected at minister, and Bro. Orville Button as deacon. Sister May Strickler was elected solicitor and the writer, clerk and correspondent.

Our number, at present, is rather small, but we hope that the little vine that has been planted here may grow and flourish.

Our live-feast was one of the most impressive that the writer ever attended.  Perfect order and solemnity prevailed throughout the exercises.
