Hutchinson Church (1916-)
The Gospel Messenger Jan. 13, 1917 page 28 Vol. 66 No. 2 Hutchinson. – Dec. 31 we witnessed the organization of this mission into a separate church. We have tried, in our weakness, to nurture this mission point and have been greatly interested in its growth from a very few members to the present membership of eighty-one. We think much credit is due Bro. Feiler for his untiring efforts, aided by his devoted wife. Sister Cora Boone also deserves much credit. They now have a goodly number. Their promising Sunday-school averages about 100 in attendance. They have a loyal corps of teachers and officers, both in the Sunday-school and church. There are two ministers and three deacons. Bro. Feiler was chosen as presiding elder for one year. A great help to the work will be given by the settlement of a doctor in their bounds. Dr. Breon is a very clever young man and will prove to be a wonderful aid. Brethren H. B. Martin and A. F. Miller effected the organization. – Wilmer Keedy, Darlow, Kans. Jan. 3. |
