Nampa Church (1899-)
Gospel Messenger The Dec. 16, 1899 page 782 From Nampa, Idaho. The Nampa church, of Canon County, Idaho, was organized Nov. 25, with the following corps of workers: One elder, one minister, eleven laymembers. The church feeling the need of some one in the deacon’s office, called the writer and Bro. I . H. Hatfield to aid in that capacity. The writer was also chosen secretary and treasurer. Eld Caleb Fogle was chosen as overseer. There were also four other members present who will hand in their letters soon. Among them is a minister in the second degree, Bro. Graybill, who was the first to preach the doctrine of the Brethren in this part, and who is still laboring earnestly with the other ministering brethren for the Master’s cause. There were also present with us Eld. Harader, of Payette, Idaho, and ministering brethren David Betts, of Kansas, and ----Peebler, of Missouri; also Bro. Frantz, of Kansas. We have preaching every two weeks and Sunday school every Sunday at the town hall. C. V. Whallon Nampa, Idaho, Dec. 2
