From the Round Mountain Church, Ark.

After the Annual Meeting Eld. Z Henricks, of South-western Kansas, stopped with us on his return, and preached some for us. Bro. Henricks and I went out into Madison County, a distance of thirty miles, where we held several meetings. A few members are living at that point. About a month later, Bro. Krouse, one of our deacons, and I, went to Boston Mountain, thirty miles away, where there is a small organized church, which was placed under my charge by last District Meeting. I held tome meeting for them, and also held a council, in order to get them into working order. We also stopped at Brentwood, on our way going and coming, and held two meetings. Brother and sister Watts live there. After this we had over p. week's work to do on our church-house in the way of ceiling and making benches, which we did before our Communion, Sept 3. We now have our house ceiled and some benches made, and we are very thankful to those who assisted us to purchase the lumber.

Elders George Barnhart and Samuel Click came to us Sept. 1, and preached for us. Sept. 3 we had our Communion. We had a very good meeting and an enjoyable feast. Sept. 5 brethren Barnhart, Click and I started for Boone County, to the Pilot Knob church, about sixty-five miles distant. We drove over some very rough roads, and arrived at our destination Sept. 7. By order of the District Meeting we went there to see to some church work. Sept. 9 we met the church in council. Upon inquiry we found that an elder had previously pretended to organize the church, but failed to do so in the proper order. A minister had been placed in the second degree improperly, and a deacon appointed instead of being elected. So the church agreed to drop all that work and start afresh in the right way. They were then organized. A choice was held for two deacons, and the lot fell on brethren Bowman and Robert Price. The church was also counseled as to advancing Bro. M. V. Price to the second degree, and it was unanimously decided to do so. These brethren wore duly installed into cilice before we left. They had their Communion Sept. 10, which was a very pleasant meeting. Here, for the first time, I had the pleasure of enjoying a love-feast in a grove. It was to be in a school- house, but the weather being pleasant and the house too small, the meeting was held in a grove. We formed a good opinion of the little church there, They have live, active members, and a good opening for doing good. Some seem to be near the kingdom, and we hope that God will add his blessings, that they may prosper. Brethren Barnhart and Click returned home by way of Eureka Springs. I reached my home Sept. 14, and found all well. Samuel Weimer.
